Matthew Turns two

Yesterday was Matthew's second birthday. I cannot believe that he is two. He was very excited even if he didn't know exactly what was going on. He opened his presents after a bit of coaxing and was very good playing with them all the time. We are all looking forward to the 14th when we visit Colne Valley Railway to see Thomas the Tank engine - Matthew's favourite.
Thanks to all the rain the garden now resembles a bog, when the kids have been out there they come back looking like they have been paddling in mud, it is a strip on the back door step job, straight in the washing machine or bath and try not to walk it through the house.
It is funny I always thought I wouldn't do certain things- TV, sweets and so on but it is surprising how quickly that changes. They don't have it every day but chocolate and sweets are definitely on the menu and it seems no matter how enterpising and entertaining I am the TV also seems to feature somewhere in the day for the kids. Roll on the summer, long days in the garden and lots of reading ( I Hope!)
